What you will be learning in this Lesson?
In the above Scratch Activity you will be exploring the below concepts in detail
Using the Scratch Interface
We will get familiar with the Scratch interface. We will learn what the different panels in the Scratch window are used for. The different tabs present in Scratch will also be explored.
Sprites and Scripts
A sprite is an object that performs actions in a project. A sprite can be added from Scratch’s sprite library, it can be created or it can be uploaded from your computer. The default sprite on any project is Scratch cat.
Scripts are used to give instructions to a sprite. This is done by snapping blocks together in the scripts area.
Introduction to sprite animation (movement)
We will learn how a sprite can be made to move. The dinosaur sprite will move from one edge of the screen to the other forever. This movement is done by adding scripts to the dinosaur sprite.
